International Red Panda Day may have already happened on Saturday but we’re still celebrating these very cute creatures. We’ve specially designed a gorgeous Red Panda pendant to raise awareness and do our bit for the Red Panda Network which is doing fantastic work helping to protect the endangered red panda and its habitat.

The red panda’s diet is mainly bamboo which is scattered in narrow bands across the foothills of the Himalayas. However, logging of Nepal’s forests threatens their survival as the communities (human, that is) that live in the region also depend on the red panda’s habitat for survival. The Red Panda Network is working to create a system to conserve the red panda’s prime habitat by employing ‘Forest Guardians’, trained to help monitor the red pandas and the forest, plus bringing awareness to local villages and schools. This provides a livelihood for the local people.

80% of sales of our pendants will be donated to the Red Panda Network. So by wearing a pendant, you know you’ve helped out a little red fur ball in the foothills of the Himalayas. Type in ‘redpanda’ in the coupon section at checkout for free shipping.
